LD@School  has published  a free learning module on LD and executive functions. ” This module is intended to provide an in-depth exploration of executive functions, as they relate to students with learning disabilities (LDs) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), at all grade levels. The eight pillars of executive functioning will be described, along with indicators and strategies for the classroom. You will gain familiarity with screening measures, and draw connections to the Learning Skills and Work Habits that Ontario educators must teach and report on.”  The estimate 45-60 mins to complete

The 8 pillars are: working memory; task initiation; organization; planning; self-monitoring; cognitive flexibility; emotional control; impulse control.
