The Dec 2106/Jan 2107 issue of (Phi Delta) Kappan includes an article by Lois Brown Easton titled Strategic Accountability is Key to Making PLCs Effective, [98(4), pp 43- 48].

From page 44: “Strategic accountability for PLCs is a highly nuanced approach to professional learning. Strategic accountability leads to actions that make a difference for student learning.”

The article discusses:

  • to whom should they be accountable
  • for what they should be accountable
  • how they should be accountable
  • designing accountability
