Received from  Veterans Affairs Canada:

A new school year is getting underway and Veterans Affairs Canada is back with free, bilingual learning resources to help engage young people in remembrance!

Our popular Veterans’ Week materials have been entirely updated for 2016. New editions of the Take Time to Remember activity booklet (ages 5-7), as well as youth newspapers Tales of Animals in War (ages 5-11) and Canada Remembers Times (ages 12-18) are now available. Postcards for Peace and the Veterans’ Week bookmarks and posters are also back again, as is an on-line teacher’s guide. Explore what we have to offer and order them today at no charge:

Our 2016 Veterans’ Week web feature offers a wealth of other resources for educators, from ideas on how schools can show they remember to social media tools that allow youth to share their thoughts on those who have served and sacrificed in uniform over the years. Check it out
