Campaign Messengers: Taking a Stand!

Ophea has launched a sexual violence and harassment prevention initiative.  This is a school-based approach that will build the capacity of students and educators in Ontario schools (elementary and secondary), to address the root causes of sexual violence and harassment through the promotion of consent, respect and healthy relationships.  Participating schools have the opportunity to attend a customized training session as part of the project.

Campaign Messengers: Taking a stand! will support engaging children and youth in conversations focusing on healthy relationships, consent, nurturing mutual respect, and being conscientious of their own well-being and the well-being of others.

New Ophea Asthma Resource for Sport, Recreation and After School Providers!

Check out the new Sport, Recreation and After School section on Ophea’s asthma website, asthmafriendly.ca and the new free downloadable asthma resource, Creating Asthma Friendly Environments for Children & Youth.  Both the website and the resource provide support for creating asthma friendly and supportive environments for children and youth with asthma who participate in after-school and weekend programs, including arts, clubs, and recreational and competitive sports programs. Creating and maintaining asthma friendly environments demonstrates a program’s commitment to the safety, well-being and achievement of children and youth, as well as its commitment to assisting them in reaching their full potential.
