The December 2016 issue of JSD: The Learning Forward Journal (v. 36(6)) includes an article by Lois Brown Easton titled The 5 Habits of effective PLCs (pages 25-29). PLC=Professional Learning Community … but you know that,  right?

Briefly,  the habits are:

  1. PLC members are accountable.
  2. PLC members make effective use of important skill sets.
  3. PLC members focus on developing and maintaining good relationships.
  4. PLC members focus  on and connect learning and doing.
  5. PLC members operate according to a strong sense of purpose, driven by the passion they have for that purpose.

For details and content you will have to read the article 🙂  TDSB teachers may contact the library at (416) 395-8289 or email professionallibrary@tdsb.on.ca  and we will email you a copy.
