Michael Fullan would be one of this library’s most popular authors (Canadian; Ontario/international education guru; educational  leadership & effective or transformational change; been in the ‘business’ for decades; his books are included on just about every leadership AQ or Principal course reading list). The man is a writing machine and we have all of his books, and if I ever need to pull an author out of my hat for a library catalogue demo – he is the one.

Freedom to Change: Four Strategies to put your inner drive into overdrive (2015). From the inside front jacket: ” Fullan describes four dynamically interrelated actions:

  • Seek the right balance between autonomy and cooperation with others
  • Improve the feeedback exchange – give more valuable responses, as well as eliciting, hearing and accepting feedback more effectively
  • Build accountability to others into the fabric of  our working lives
  • Find ways to influence others with the changes we’ve made and want to spread”

There are 7 chapters:

  1. Freedom from or Freedom to
  2. Simplexity as a guide for change
  3. Autonomy and Cooperation
  4. Feedback
  5. Accountability
  6. Diffusion
  7. Your own best freedom

The book includes a series of infographics which you can access via the publisher .. you have to read the book to obtain the link:)
