Ontario teachers have a duty to report abuse and neglect.

This year the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) approved a June 2015 advisory reminding member that they have a duty to report abuse and neglect of children and youth. FMI, you can read the advisory and the article that appears in the September 2015 issue of Professionally Speaking.

Check it out, and remember that your school board will have  made available additional information on this topic to teachers and staff.
