New books for teachers (students with special needs)

Yes the Professional Library is open for the summer (3 Tippett Rd at Wilson Road and the Allen; (416) 395-8289) and yes we continue to receive great new books.

Here are some new titles that will help teachers support students with special needs:

  2. The essential manual for Asperger Syndrome a(SAD) in the classroom: What every teacher needs to know ((2015, Kathy Hoopmann)
  3. The power of peers: Enhancing learning and social skills (Series: What works for special-needs learners) (2015, edited by Harris and Metzer)


  1. Helping them heal: How teachers can support young children who experience stress and trauma (2014, Karen Peterson)
  2. Luna’s red hat: An illustrated storybook to help children cope with loss and suicide (32105, Emmi Smid)

TDSB teachers may borrow books by contacting the library at (416)395-8289 or and /or you can reserve the books via our catalogue at .. during the summer you must come to Tippett to pick up/ return books.
