EduGains is maintaining a high profile of math supports. The latest is a web conference for Principals and Vice Principals titled Confronting Myths and Challenges in Mathematics Education.

From their announcement/info sheet:

“Join Dr. Chris Suurtamm on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 9:45 am for an interactive web conference that will confront some of the messages about mathematics  curriculum, teaching, and learning that have been presented recently in the media. Chris will discuss some of the challenges that educators face in enhancing mathematics teaching and learning and provides a forum for sharing some possible solutions.

Please note this web conference is for school leaders (Principals and Vice-Principals) in Ontario. Please plan to attend as a Principal Learning Team (if possible, at a board office or school). Attendance is limited.

There is a brief mandatory training session to attend the web conference. Only the person in charge of the logistics within your group needs to attend the mandatory training. After training is complete, you will receive a link to join the web conference.”

Check it out!
